Overview

Editorial assessment

Aster is an on-chain Perp-DEX and therefore a crypto exchange without a classic fiat broker framework. Perpetual contracts are wallet-only: Before the first trade, you need a ready-to-use wallet and suitable on-chain balance in the right denomination. There is no SEPA deposit and no card deposit on this interface. The setup is aimed at users with on-chain experience, not app buyers who start with a bank transfer and want to open leveraged contracts immediately.

No KYC and self-custody means: The keys stay with you - and so do errors in transactions, token approvals or phishing. Documented maker and taker fees for USDT perps describe trading costs according to provider docs; they do not cover funding, slippage or smart contract failures. API access supports structured processes and order routines, but does not replace your own risk analysis on leverage, liquidation and market liquidity. App, recurring investment plan and sub-accounts are deliberately missing from the product profile. Fiat on-ramps must be organized outside of the DEX.

Leverage can lead to a total loss, regardless of the amount of the documented base fee. MiCA status is unclear; The regulatory framework of a central CASP entity does not apply here in the same way as an authorized spot exchange. Liquidity, oracles and contract risks are part of the DEX mechanics and should be checked before deployment. A tax report DE is missing - recording trades and PnL is your own work. If you want to buy euros via the app and trade Perps immediately, you are in the wrong product category.

The curated one Direct comparison Aster vs Hyperliquid keeps the deposit, fee logic and tax workflow of the two platforms side by side - without an overall grade.

For comparison among wallet-only Perp-DEXs fits Hyperliquid. The table of characteristics records the fee base, no SEPA deposit, no recurring investment plan, no app and leverage risk separately - the basis for an objective DEX comparison without an overall rating and without a general statement of suitability.
