Editorial assessment
The Blockstream Jade Plus expands the Jade line with a battery, camera and QR air gap - optionally with JadeLink bundle. Bitcoin and Liquid Network remain the chain frontier; Open source firmware and client remain the profile, a classic secure element is still missing. The basic model remains the cheaper entry-level model without QR isolation; As a hardware wallet, the Plus is the isolated variant of the same family, not a multi-chain device.
The air gap workflow runs via QR and camera; USB and Bluetooth remain documented in parallel. iOS, Android and desktop OS are planned. If you only sign on the desktop, you still use a device with a battery and a larger housing than the basic Jade. Ethereum and Solana are missing; the classification remains BTC plus Liquid. The Blind Oracle PIN model also replaces a classic secure element here. Formal CC or FIPS information is missing from the characteristics.
Price and scope of delivery depend on the bundle — JadeLink is optional, not standard. This is what it says in the cons and should be checked against the specific offer before ordering because packages differ in terms of delivery. The Plus model sits above the base Jade; Specific RRP values can be found in the purchase characteristics.
Compared to the classic Jade, there is no compromise to remain cheaper without QR insulation; opposite Coldcard Q shares the QR idea, but the chain scope and the secure element model differ.
