Overview

Editorial assessment

As a hardware wallet, the Trezor Safe 7 is the most mobile safe generation: touch display, battery, Bluetooth and iOS in addition to desktop OS - open firmware, open client, SLIP39 and several security chip claims. Safe 3 and Safe 5 remain cheaper and rely on USB power instead of device batteries; If you only sign on your PC, you also pay for features with the Safe 7 that you do not use.

Air gap is missing - unlike Keystone, OneKey Pro or Coldcard. NFC is unknown. Shipping starts on 23. November 2025 is in the cons; Availability at dealer may vary. Quantum ready statements are manufacturer information, not an independent JMRKT assessment.

In terms of price, Safe 7 is around EUR 249 — on par with Ledger Flex and below Stax or NGRAVE Zero. This is the MSRP classification for the Trezor Mobile Touch Path, not a quality assessment. Shipping start and dealer inventory may vary — check availability with the dealer before purchasing.

Opposite Ledger Nano Gen5 share touch, battery and Bluetooth; Trezor remains more open in its software, Ledger relies on recovery key and NFC. Compared to BitBox Nova, Open Source and iOS are shared; BitBox remains a Swiss USB stick tradition without a Trezor Suite ecosystem.

If you compare Safe 7 with Nano Gen5, you are deciding between Trezor Suite plus Open Source and Ledger Recovery Key plus NFC - both use mobile touch, not the same ecosystem.

In Direct comparison Trezor Safe 5 vs Trezor Safe 7 The form factor, connection and backup of the two hardware wallets are directly opposite - the basis for an objective comparison without an overall grade.

Features, sources and pricing are summarized in the table above; This is about market classification.
