Overview

Editorial assessment

In the hardware wallet comparison, the Trezor Safe 5 brings touch display and secure element claim to the safe line - open firmware, open client, SLIP39 and multi-coin via Trezor Suite. Safe 3 remains cheaper without touch; Safe 7 adds battery, Bluetooth and fuller iOS path in the higher price band.

Air gap is missing. iOS is only supported to a limited extent - like the Safe 3: official app, not a full iPhone signature. Anyone who signs primarily on the iPhone checks the features of Safe 7 or Ledger Nano X. No device battery, no NFC - USB remains the core. Touch without battery means: still USB or power bank when you're on the go - Safe 7 is the more mobile safe variant.

In terms of price, Safe 5 is around EUR 169 - between Safe 3 and Safe 7, on an equal footing Ledger Flex in the characteristics. This is an RRP classification, not a purchase recommendation. Touch makes amount confirmation easier, but does not replace seed discipline.

Compared to Ledger Flex, Touch is in the middle segment; Trezor remains more open, Ledger offers NFC and Bluetooth. Compared to OneKey Classic, the form factor and air gap profile are different; Safe 5 remains USB stick with touch.

The characteristics table remains the source; This text classifies Safe-5 position, iOS limitation and typical trade-offs — without individual recommendation.

Touch on the Safe 5 makes confirmation on the device easier, but does not change the USB requirement - when traveling without a power bank, the Safe 7 remains the more mobile safe variant.

In Direct comparison Trezor Safe 5 vs Trezor Safe 7 The form factor, connection and backup of the two hardware wallets are directly opposite - the basis for an objective comparison without an overall grade.
