Overview

Editorial assessment

The Ledger CL Card is the custodial Mastercard debit crypto card in the Ledger ecosystem - despite hardware wallet branding, card balance is with the card partner, not on-device and not on the device as a signature per tap. One level, edition DE/AT/CH, Apple Pay and Google Pay documented. The product sits in the ledger shop context, but does not replace hardware wallet use and is not a non-custody card program. The question of custody remains central to the comparison with self-custody cards.

Saveback is at 1%, withdrawal BTC or USDT. Card issue EUR 0. FX surcharge and saveback cap are unassigned in the characteristics (—) — check in the table, do not guess. ATM with Mastercard is documented. Without a level matrix, there is no upgrade via Hold or VIP; However, unknown FX and cap fields remain visible and must be clarified before comparison with multi-level programs. Blank fields are part of the editorial classification, not a gap filling.

Custodial remains the central point: hardware wallet image and card custody are separate. If you want to keep keys on the card, you need a different model. The 1% rate alone means little as long as the FX and cap are open.

In Direct comparison Krak Card vs Ledger CL Card Saveback, FX and custody of the entry levels are in direct comparison - without ranking.

Non-custody from the MetaMask wallet offers the MetaMask Card with Virtual and Metal level, 1% entry level and optional 3% for an annual fee. You can find storage, network and saveback in the level table - a documented column with occupied and unoccupied fields readable next to each other.
