Overview

Editorial assessment

The MetaMask Card is the non-custodial Mastercard crypto card program with virtual and metal levels for DE/AT/CH. Payments flow from the MetaMask wallet; Saveback is paid out in mUSD. Virtual: $ 0 output and 1% saveback; Metal: 3% vs $ 199/year. Browser wallet plus card without exchange custody - keys remain with the user, not with the exchange issuer. The classification applies to the program with both columns, not just to the virtual row.

Virtual: 1% FX abroad, ATM 2%. Metal: 0% Foreign FX and cheaper ATM limits. Saveback cap: no cap in Virtual; Metal 10k$ then 1%. Higher levels are not free: the annual fee is the documented price for the rate and FX profile. Apple Pay and Google Pay are documented. Anyone who only reads the entry rate underestimates the jump in FX and cap between virtual and metal.

Non-custodial reduces exchange risk, but requires wallet discipline and clarity about mUSD rewards as well as gas and liquidity issues in everyday life. Compared to custodial shop cards, custody remains with the user; The Metal annual fee applies if 3% and 0% foreign FX are desired.

In Direct comparison of ether.fi Cash vs MetaMask Card Saveback, FX and custody of the entry levels are in direct comparison - without ranking.

Opposite the custodian Ledger CL Card remains safe with you; Metal costs $ 199/year for higher saveback rate and better FX. Virtual and Metal with FX, Cap and ATM are next to each other in the level table under the profile.
