Overview

Editorial assessment

Plasma One is the non-custodial Visa crypto card program with three levels — Lite, Core and Platinum — for DE/AT/CH. Lite: 2% saveback and 0 $output; Core and Platinum require XPL lock and some $ 199/year. Saveback is paid out in XPL — token-linked, not EUR stable, and subject to AI caps per tier. Lite is often virtual; ATM in higher columns partly no. The classification applies to the program as a whole, not just to the Lite line.

FX to 1% Non-USD — relevant for travel and foreign currency payments. Caps: no AI in Lite vs. 5% AI $ 500/Mo in Core vs. 10% AI in Platinum. Core: 20k XPL; Platinum: 100k XPL over 12 months. Apple Pay and Google Pay are documented. Higher levels are not free: lock and annual fee are part of the column calculation alongside rate and cap. Anyone who only reads 2% in Lite underestimates XPL exposure and AI limits.

Non-custody keeps keys with the user, but links rewards to XPL exposure and lock duration. Gas, liquidity and token volatility are part of everyday calculations - unlike USDC savebacks, which have their own exchange rate dependency.

In Direct comparison Gnosis Pay Card vs Plasma One Saveback, FX and custody of the entry levels are in direct comparison - without ranking.

As an alternative you can ether.fi Cash Compare based on reward currency, costs and custody. Lite, Core and Platinum — FX, cap and cost per column in the tier table below the profile.

Decision before signing up: Check the tier offered for your country, ongoing fees and any required token binding. The Plasma One site mentions XPL as a reward currency and points out partner fees for certain exchange and banking transactions (access 19.09.2026). A percentage value in XPL is not a guaranteed euro return. Example with freely chosen assumptions: EUR 500 legitimate expenses for 2% initially correspond to EUR 10 reward equivalent; the subsequent value may change with the token price. Therefore, also compare the lock duration, exclusions and the exchange rate displayed.
